Pastor

Dr. Richard Riley

Dr. Riley has served thirty years in ministry. He received a Bachelor of Science degree from Bradley University in Peoria, Illinois. He holds a Master of Divinity and a Doctor of Ministry from the University of Dubuque Theological Seminary in Dubuque, Iowa.

Dr. Riley is an Adjunct Faculty member at Heartland Community College in Normal, Illinois, where he teaches in the area of religious studies. He is also Professor of World Religions and Church Growth at Newburgh Theological Seminary.

Dr. Riley enjoys walking, biking, reading, collecting books on the Civil War and Abraham Lincoln, and collecting firearms. He is a member of the Evangelical Theological Society and the Abraham Lincoln Association. He is also a life member of the Ulysses S. Grant Association and the National Rifle Association.

He is also an ordained clergy member of the Lutheran Congregations in Mission for Christ (LCMC).

Dr. Riley, his wife Pam, and son Chip reside in El Paso.

Administrative Assistant

Emily Hunt

Emily Hunt has worked as the Administrative Assistant at New Heights since its beginning in 2001. Emily is a 2001 graduate of El Paso High School. She graduated Magna Cum Laude from Eureka College with a degree in Literature. Emily also served as the President of Sigma Tau Delta International English Honor Society and in a variety of positions in Delta Delta Pi Sorority while at Eureka. Emily also works at the Washington District Library in Washington, IL as the Young Adult Librarian and Volunteer Coordinator and the El Paso Public Library as a clerk.
